Without mentioning Divac, Stojakovic, Djordjevic, Danilovic, Bodiroga ... Hmmmm. Strange list. But has ANYONE ever heard of DETLEF SCHREMPF ????

With all due respect to everyone on your list, but Nick Galis is the number 1 by one, NO ONE has achieved what he did in his career, both in Greece and Europe. For me Drazen is second and perhaps Sabonis third, but for those of us who KNOW and "lived and breathed" Basketball in the 80s and early 90s in Europe we understand there was no one else but GALIS!! Things would have been a lot different had he stayed in the US and played in the NBA, despite him being "only 1.81m" tall... on the other hand he completely changed the face of Greek basketball and (I would argue) European basketball as well... no player was more feared on the European circuit than him, he was absolutely impossible to defend against!!

    STAV DAGIOUKLASPrieš 29 dienų

Nick Galis and Drazen Petrovic. All the others Kukoc, Radja, Bodiroga, Divac, ......, Spanoulis, , Diamantides were just good players nothing more.

Galis, Petrovic and Sabonis. In case we need 4 Kukoc should be added and/or Radja and/or Divac not to mention great Yugoslavian or Russian basketball players of an earlier era. But Dirk Nowitzki? Come on. Nobody would agree for this particular selection neither for Tony Parker especially in Europe.

There must be something wrong in your head if you put Nick Galis at 10. Little kittens like navaro above the LEGEND of Nick Galis? Are you mad? Galis, Sabonis, Drazen as players had such high basketball IQ individually the rest of the list did not have collectively.

  38. mario bilić

Anyone who knows something about European basketball, knows that it's practically impossible to make general top 10 list European basketball players of all times. It was too much greatness in this sport and too many years of basketball. It would be easier, not much but still, if the list was made for each and every particular position on the court. But I concur with most of opinions that Petrović, Galis and Sabonis should be top 3 ever. And if I would have to pick number one of those 3, I would say Dražen Petrović was the best ever...

Great list and decent approach, many may disagree about Galis being 10th but it's reasonable due to the number of titles.Still, as player he was definatelly much better than Danilovic and so was Navarro,if i was to change sth IN THAT list that would be it.I think that instead Danilovic you could place P.Stojakovic.Either way, nice vid,you remind me of my youth.Cheers.

Gkalis inspired a whole nation to start playing basketball , made Greek governments to start building basketball courts all over Greece . He made all his co-players better because of course Greek players did not have the talent of Yugoslavian players for example . Also Aris B.C Salonica didn't have the budget to build a stronger team with more good players from around the world so he couldn't have won more European trophies .When he went to Panathinaikos , who started his own European empire , he was quite old and left early . His height was - 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) - the shortest from all the other listed players next is Parker who was 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) . I personally love him and Michael Jordan . But i truly respect all other mentioned players . I'm 40 years old now and NBA has changed so much . I don't like it that much :( . I'm Greek :)
